Prof. Kaddoum is the recipient of the “Research Excellence Award of the Université du Quebec, 2018" and the “Research Excellence Award-emerging researcher" from ÉTS, 2019. Additionally, he is a co-recipient of the Best Papers Awards of the IEEE PIMRC 2017 and the IEEE WiMob 2014. Moreover, he received the "Exemplary Reviewer Award" from IEEE trans. on comm. twice in 2015 and 2017. He is currently serving as an associate editor for the IEEE trans. on information forensics and security and the IEEE comm. letters.
Prof. Kaddoum held the ÉTS Research Chair in physical-layer security for wireless networks. He published over 200 journal and conference papers and two pending patents. He received his Ph.D. with honor in signal processing and telecommunications from the National Institute of Applied Sciences, Toulouse, France, 2008.

In April 2019, Prof. Kaddoum has received the prestigious Canada Research Chair (CRC-Tier II) entitled: “Towards a Novel and Intelligent Framework for the Next Generations of IoT Networks”. This Chair will tackle the challenges of the futureproof IoT networks which will dominate the next generation of wireless networks and will play essential roles in enabling smart cities and industry 4.0.
