Christine Tremblay est professeure titulaire au département de génie électrique de l'ÉTS. Elle est la fondatrice et responsable du Laboratoire de technologies de réseaux (Network Technology Lab), un banc de test WDM à haut débit développé en partenariat avec Ciena depuis 2010 (et Nortel de 2004 à 2009). Ses intérêts de recherche se situent dans le domaine des communications optiques:

• Smart optical networks enabled by machine learning - This research program aims at exploring machine learning methods for applications in optical networking including the estimation of the transmission quality of transmission (QoT) of lightpaths before establishment and performance prediction of established lightpaths.

• Machine learning for optical networking applications. Collaboration Ciena

• Performance monitoring of coherent optical networks - The research project aims at developing predictive methods for performance degradation and failure for high-capacity coherent networks based on monitoring data collected in a carrier network over several seasons and on multiple fiber plant deployments. The results of this research will enable to develop preventive strategies for making coherent networks more reliable and easier to manage for network operators, as well as more precise engineering and planning rules for future fiber network deployments. Collaboration Ciena, Verizon, KTH Royal Institute of Technology
