Order of the white rose

$50,000 given annually by the management of Polytechnique Montréal to a Canadian engineering student who wishes to continue her studies in engineering at the graduate level (Master’s or PhD), at the establishment of her choice, in Canada or abroad.

Amount and duration

Master’s or doctorate: $50,000 (for one year, non-renewable)

Eligibility criteria

  • Be a woman;
  • Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident;
  • Be a graduate or in the final year of an engineering program at a Canadian university and have obtained her bachelor's degree in December 2022 or expect to obtain it in May or in August 2023;
  • Be enrolled or in the process of enrolling in graduate (master's or doctoral) studies to begin the year after obtaining her degree.

Selection criteria

An internal selection process will determine which candidate will be recommended to the Order of the White Rose selection committee.

* The support letter from the home institution is not required. The Dean of Studies will attach the support letter to the candidacy file which will be recommended to the Order of the White Rose selection committee.
