Partner with ÉTS

More than 250 industrial partners have turned to ÉTS to find solutions to very specific issues, from developing innovative new products to optimizing production processes and more. This gives them not only the benefits of university engineering research, but also access to a research infrastructure that’s seen $60 million in upgrades in the last few years.

The Partnerships Office connects ÉTS research teams with public and private partners so they can get their research and development projects done. Want to work with ÉTS? Contact the Partnerships Office.

Finding real-world solutions to real-world problems

Most ÉTS researchers have hands-on industry experience. Which is undeniably an asset when you need real-world solutions to real-world problems. That’s why private business, nonprofit organizations, cities, and government departments seek out the ÉTS research community. ÉTS has built relationships of trust as more and more partners come in—with the value of research grants and contracts growing at a steady rate of 11% per year in the last two decades.

Collaborations can take many forms:

  • Research and development partnership contracts
  • Strategic sector projects
  • Collaborative projects with students at all graduate and undergraduate levels
  • Access to research facilities, equipment, and expertise

Intellectual property

The ÉTS research community has developed technologies in a range of fields, from information technologies to telecommunications, health, materials, and manufacturing. Many of these technologies are protected and have been patented. Contracts may be drawn up so that intellectual property belongs to the business that acquires it, ÉTS, or both.
