Scholarship competition from granting agencies
Get ready for the next round of competitions from granting agencies (NSERC, FRQNT, IRSST). These post-graduate scholarship competitions are intended for candidates who are looking to obtain funding beginning in the Summer 2027, Fall 2027 or Winter 2028 semesters. Plan ahead to obtain the funding you need at the beginning of your studies.
As you wait for the granting agencies to update their websites, why not consult the rules for last year’s competitions in order to be better prepared?
This month:
- Scholarships Felix-Goyer
$700 scholarships to help the disavantaged students.
Application deadline: August 15, 2026
- Perras, Cholette and Cholette Graduate Scholarship(in French)
$10,000 bursary for Collège de Montréal alumni pursuing full-time graduate studies. It is intended to help those who excel and distinguish themselves in the artistic, medical and scientific fields.
Application deadline: June 30, 2026 - Fondation Cypihot-Ouellette(in French)
Three types of bursary, ranging from $1,000 to $5,000, to honour full-time students who live with a visual impairment and show determination in their academic endeavours.
Application deadline: August 15, 2026 - Rhodes Scholarships
Scholarships available for students who wish to pursue their studies at Oxford University.
Deadline for submitting an application to the Dean of Studies Office: August 31, 2026 (internal selection)
There are currently no exclusive competitions in effect.

Mitacs Accelerate - Standard program
This program offers paid internships at a partner business that agrees to contribute to the financing and to host the student at its premises to work on activities related to a joint research project. This program offers considerable flexibility in terms of eligibility, duration of work terms and allocation of time for research at the business.
There is no set deadline for submitting applications. Applications must be submitted at least 8 weeks before the scheduled start of the internship. Several financing models are available.Business Strategy Internship
This program offers paid innovative internships at a partner business that agrees to contribute to the financing and to host the student at its premises to work on activities related to a joint research project to carry out the innovation activities of the organization, in order to help improve its products, processes or services. This program offers considerable flexibility in terms of eligibility, duration of work terms and allocation of time for research at the business.
There is no set deadline for submitting applications. Applications must be submitted at least 5 weeks before the scheduled start of the internship. Several financing models are available.Mitacs Globalink Research Award
$6,000 fellowship for senior undergraduates and graduate students to conduct 12-24 week research projects at universities abroad.
There is no set deadline for submitting applications. The number of available scholarships are limited. Applications must be submitted at least 16 weeks before the start of the project.
