Evaluate the research project, along with the student’s acquired knowledge and ability to carry out the research leading up to the thesis. The objective of this activity is to ensure that the student possesses a wide range of knowledge in the various engineering disciplines with a view to incorporating this knowledge into the design process. The activity comprises three steps, which must be carried out in the following order: research problematics, a written exam, and an oral exam before a panel of examiners.
