Canada Graduate Scholarships - Master's Program
For a number of years, the NSERC has delegated the awarding of Canada Graduate Scholarships to universities. ÉTS is in a position to award up to 12 scholarships, including ten from the NSERC, one from the CIHR and one from the SSHRC. The selection of recipients is now carried out by an internal selection committee, which increases your chances of receiving a scholarship. See the Master of Doctorate section for a description of the program.
IMPORTANT:
If you are planning to submit an application, you must attach your official and updated transcript, along with a transcript for the Fall 2024 session, even if no marks are indicated, because it serves as your proof of registration. Failure to submit these documents may result in rejection of your application.
Tremplin Award - Internship in a Non-Academic Setting
Program intended for PhD students to promote transfer of their skills to "non-research" positions.
Information on the program is available on FRQS' website. The deadline for submitting an application is November 1, 2024, 4 p.m.

Other financial aid
- Mitacs Accelerate – Standard program
This program offers paid internships at a partner business that agrees to contribute to the financing and to host the student at its premises to work on activities related to a joint research project. At least 50% of the student’s research time must be spent at the partner organization. This program offers considerable flexibility in terms of eligibility, duration of work terms and allocation of time for research at the business.
There is no set deadline for submitting applications. Applications must be submitted at least 6 weeks before the scheduled start of the internship.
- Mitacs Accelerate Fellowship
These grants are in addition to the Mitacs Accelerate standard grants described above. They require an industrial partner, and are accompanied by customized professional development training.
- Mitacs Globalink Research Award
$6,000 fellowship for senior undergraduates and graduate students to conduct 12-24 week research projects at universities abroad. There is no set deadline for submitting applications. Applications must be submitted at least 16 weeks before the start of the project.
