Marie-Philippe Gill, a Software Engineering student at ÉTS, uses her popularity to further the cause of women in science and technology.

With more than 30,000 Instagram followers and 10,000 page views on her blog “Girl Knows Tech”, Marie-Philippe Gill, a Software Engineering student at ÉTS, is already a social media star who uses her popularity to further the cause of women in science and technology. Her success in this area has led to her selection as one of the subjects of the Web series Les Catalys.

Les Catalys consists of video clips that focus exclusively on women who are active in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) sector. The objective is to stimulate interest in science among young women in order to spark their passion and inspire reflection related to the academic and professional options available to them. The series comprises 10 episodes (approximately 8 minutes each) that present a portrait of 10 young female professionals.

ÉTS is delighted to have been a part of this series, and continues to encourage and support Marie-Philippe in her commitment to helping young women who wish to pursue a career in science and technology!
