Welcome to ÉTS

Classes start soon! The summer semester will begin on Thursday, May 1st, 2025.

We’ve got plenty of activities scheduled in the next few weeks to mark the start of the new semester.

First Week of Classes Will Be Mostly Online

To ensure the smooth running of the Acfas Congress, a major event that will bring over 4,000 attendees to ÉTS, many classes scheduled between May 1 and May 9 will be offered online.

There will, however, be some exceptions. These courses will be clearly indicated in the MonÉTS portal. Some labs may also be held in person. If that’s the case, you will be notified by your department or instructor.

If you have any questions, please contact your department.

Note that many services and facilities will remain available during the congress:

  • Student Life Services
  • Registrar’s Office
  • Library
  • Sports Centre
  • Student club workshops and premises
  • Cafeteria
  • Coop
Important – Before classes start

Have you been conditionally admitted to ÉTS? Please make sure you meet the conditions and associated deadlines mentioned in your admission letter. To confirm your admission, you must also complete course registration within the dates indicated on the academic calendar.

Your first class is practical work?

Unless you have received an email from the teacher telling you otherwise, if your first class session is a practical one, it will not take place.

Make sure you check before showing up!

Activities for new students

First semester at ÉTS? Take part in one of these activities to start off strong.

  • We strongly recommend attendance at your program’s welcome session. It’s a great introduction to what you can expect as a student at ÉTS.

We offer workshops where you can learn more about the paperwork needed to enter Canada.

Get things off to a good start with the many cultural, sports, and social activities planned for the first few weeks of the semester.

Want to know how to get your student card, reserve a locker, or find a list of the supplies you’ll need? All the essential information to help you get ready for the semester is in the Student Life section.
