Modeling the HVAC systems of a vertical farm
The project involves assessing the energy performance of different HVAC operating scenarios using a numerical tool (building performance simulation, either TRNSYS or EnergyPlus) for a vertical farm.
Required knowledge
- Knowledge of thermal engineering: thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid dynamics
- Knowledge of heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems
- Interest in building performance simulation of controlled environment agriculture spaces.
