In recent weeks, ÉTS researchers presented two 3D printing innovations developed in our research laboratories on the Télé-Québec program Génial!
The first, an architectural foam from the laboratory lead by Yvan Petit and Éric Wagnac, integrates into a new soccer helmet to better absorb head impacts and reduce the number of concussions. The foam is made up of interconnected cells that can distribute shock energy and dissipate impacts.

The second, a 3D-printed shoe produced in Lucas Hof's laboratory, has the special feature of being 100% recyclable. To achieve this, the research team developed a snap-fit system that eliminates the need for glue.
