CintÉTS, A New Club for International Students

A modern campus showcasing innovative architecture, bustling streets, and vibrant city life, highlighting academic excellence in technology.

What is CintÉTS and Why Was It Created?

The Cercle des étudiante(e)s internationaux de l’ÉTS (CintÉTS) was established by a group of international graduate students at ÉTS to support their peers in navigating academic and cultural life at the university.

Our mission is to address the unique challenges international students face, such as language barriers, unfamiliarity with local systems, and limited access to resources. By providing essential information and support in accessible languages, such as English and students’ native languages, we aim to foster an inclusive environment where all international students can thrive both academically and personally. CintÉTS is committed to helping international students transition smoothly into the ÉTS community and, more broadly, into Quebec society. Through our efforts, we hope to ensure that students not only succeed at ÉTS but are also well-prepared for their journeys beyond university life.

What Does CintÉTS Offer?

CintÉTS provides a variety of activities and resources tailored to the needs of international students, including:

  • Information sessions on key topics such as health insurance, banking, course enrollment, scholarships, and opportunities to learn French.
  • Development of online guides specifically designed for international students at ÉTS.
  • Social and cultural event celebrations to foster connections and community.
  • Workshops on academic, personal, and professional development.
  • Acting as a liaison between international students and the ÉTS administration to address concerns and challenges.

Through these initiatives, we aim to create a vibrant network of support for international students throughout their academic journey and beyond.

Looking Ahead

The ultimate goal of CintÉTS is to contribute to the academic success, personal growth, and cultural integration of international students at ÉTS. By addressing their unique needs and strengthening connections between students and the university, we aspire to enhance ÉTS’s reputation as a globally welcoming and supportive institution.

We invite students from all nationalities and backgrounds to join CintÉTS, share their experiences, and contribute to building a strong, inclusive, and supportive community.
