Bursary for French-language integration (PhD)

Intended exclusively for students who have been admitted on an English basis to a PhD program at ÉTS.

To encourage students to register for a French course (FLS) at UQAM, a temporary bursary is awarded upon successful completion of the course.

Submit your request through the AEHE – Inter-University Transfer Authorization platform, which allows you to take the course while paying ÉTS tuition. If the course is not listed, it is unavailable for that semester. For details, visit the AEHE website.

The bursary is not automatically granted; a request must be submitted during the specified period (see below).

Eligibility criteria

• Be admitted on an English basis to a PhD program;
• Be enrolled full-time for the Winter 2026 semester and the Summer 2026 semester;
• Obtain success in the French course*.

*The grade must be entered in your student’s file.
