Scholarship in memory of Aida Farzaneh and Arvin Morattab

Research-based master’s scholarship created in honour of two ÉTS PhD graduates, Aida Farzaneh (Construction Engineering, 2020) and Arvin Morattab (Electrical Engineering, 2018), who lost their precious lives in the crash of Ukraine International Airlines' Boeing 737-800 on January 8, 2020, in Iran.

The scholarship is intended for master's with thesis students whose research topic is related to building performance modelling or to optimization and control of power networks.

Amount and duration

One (1) scholarship valued at $2,000

Eligibility criteria

  • Be a International student enrolled full-time in a master’s program with thesis in the Fall 2021 and Winter 2022 terms;
  • Must not be in an extention period;
  • Hold a minimum cumulative average of 3.5/4.3 in the program related to the application.
 

Selection criteria

   An internal selection process will determine the application to be chosen for the scholarship.

  • Academic record;
  • Motivation;
  • Description of research project. Special attention should be paid to the quality of language.

Documents required

A document (pdf) to be sent by email to infobourses@etsmtl.ca, containing the following information, in this order:

  • An ÉTS master’s program academic transcript;
  • Motivation letter;
  • A maximum two-page description of your research project (title, context and problem, methodological approach and expected results).
