Salary of Co-op Students

All ÉTS co-op students are paid for the work they perform.

The determination of salary and benefits is left to the discretion of the employer but is subject to the requirements of the Act Respecting Labour Standards. Co-op students are entitled to paid statutory holidays and 4% vacation pay at the end of the co-op work term.

Average Pay of Co-op Students in 2021 (including bonus and other benefits)

S1 (1st work term)

  • Hourly rate: $20,70
  • Weekly salary: $810
  • Monthly salary: $3,510
  • Total for 4 months: $14,040

S2 (2nd work term)

  • Hourly rate: $22,90
  • Weekly salary: $895
  • Monthly salary: $3,880
  • Total for 4 months: $15,520

S3 | S4 (3rd or 4th work term)

  • Hourly rate: $24,55
  • Weekly salary: $895
  • Monthly salary: $4,160
  • Total for 4 months: $16,640

These amounts are averages. They are based on a 39 hour work week . The averages shown do not include the 4% vacation pay.
