L3e – Laboratory for Energy and Energy Efficiency
About Us
The Laboratory for Energy and Energy Efficiency (L3e) is dedicated to promoting research in energy efficiency and in the production, distribution, and storage of energy from renewable sources. It is also interested in the practical application of these technologies in the field of construction and industrial processes.
The laboratory team fulfills this mission by facilitating exchanges and knowledge sharing, and by organizing various activities including colloquiums, conferences and visits.
Research
The laboratory is particularly interested in the following fields:
- Adapting technologies to cold climates
- Data sensors
- Energy efficiency of buildings and industrial processes
- Composite materials
- Modelling and simulation of energetic systems
- Thermal energy and electrical storage
- Systems analysis and energy control
- Solar thermal, thermodynamic, and photovoltaic systems
- Wind turbine systems
- Geothermal systems
- CO2 capture technologies
