CAÉC 2026 – ÉTS Annual Student Research Conference

Students are encouraged to present their research through:

  • 3-minute presentations
  • 10-minute oral presentations
  • Poster presentations

Prizes will be awarded to the best presentations, including special prizes sponsored by OPTICA and itechsante for the best posters in optics and in health technologies.

Complimentary gifts will be provided to all presenters.

Keynote speaker: "Finding your Own Path"
By Geneviève Gariépy, Manager, Optical Sensors at the Canadian Soace Agency

Holding a Ph.D. in physics and trained at Polytechnique Montréal and the University of Ottawa, Geneviève joined the Canadian Space Agency in 2022.
She has contributed to the development of Earth observation instruments, notably for measuring greenhouse gases from space, and served as mission leader for the Arctic observation mission. She is currently the manager of the optical sensors group and actively advocates for equity, diversity, and inclusion in STEM.
