Parcours académique

I completed my B.Eng. in Electronics Engineering from University of Mumbai, India in 2006 and M.Sc. in Wireless Communications System Engineering, University of Greenwich, U.K. in 2008. I received my Ph.D. from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne, U.K. in 2012. My Ph.D. advisor was Prof. Yifan Chen. My Ph.D. thesis was entitled “Cognitive Radar Network Design and Applications”. During my Ph.D. research, I undertook a six month research internship at Institute for Infocomm Research (I2R), Singapore in 2010, as a research engineer working on cognitive radio and radar research.

I worked in Nanyang Technological University, Singapore as a research associate between Oct. 2011 and Oct. 2012. My primary research area was concerning Bayesian Non-parametric techniques for UWB radars for biomedical applications. I also applied statistical signal processing techniques for MIMO radars and wireless communications research.

From Nov. 2012 to Apr. 2014, I worked at Rockwell Collins India Pvt. Ltd. as a Technical Specialist Systems within the aerospace and defense research. My primary research area was hardware implementation and algorithmic design for high resolution direction finding, hybrid geolocation, electronic warfare based systems and software defined radio research for tactical communications.
I was also involved in Automatic Dependent Surveillance- Broadcast (ADS-B) and multilateration research for future air traffic management solutions. Currently, I am post-doctoral research fellow at L'École de technologie supérieure (ETS) de Montréal (Mtl) where I started on May 2014.

My research interests are cognitive radar, ADS-B and multilateration for aircraft tracking, Bayesian Nonparametric techniques, radar signal processing, cognitive radio, chaos based UWB radars, Information theory and statistical signal processing.
