Ghizlane El Boussaidi, Eng., Ph.D.
Department of Software and IT Engineering
Ghizlane El Boussaidi is professor of software engineering and member of both the LASI laboratory at ÉTS and the LATECE institutional center at UQAM.

Her research interests include model-based software engineering, software architecture and design, architectural styles. design patterns and software re-engineering.

Professor El Boussaidi holds a Ph.D. in software engineering and an engineering degree in embedded systems. She has over 15 years of industrial experience during which she contributed to developing and implementing various software systems.

My research activities focus on software design and model-driven engineering. Specifically, I am interested in:

  • The support and the application of good and proven design practices at the architectural and the detailed design levels
  • Quality of design models and model refactoring
  • Architectural styles and design patterns
  • Model-driven software development and model-based system engineering
  • Modeling and meta-modeling languages
  • Sodtware re-engineering through architecture reconstruction and transformation

For more information about my research interests and projects, refer to my Research page.

My teaching activities are related to software analysis and design, architectural design and model-driven engineering.
