"Scientific outreach" (explaining scientific concepts to the lay public) plays a crucial role in disseminating scientific knowledge and enriching scientific culture in society. Providing the public with clear and creative explanations helps make science more accessible and engaging
Science outreach is also a great opportunity to distinguish yourself in your field and broaden your skills. Whether you’re an undergraduate or graduate student, experience in science outreach can be a real asset when looking for a job or doing graduate studies. It allows you to demonstrate not only your communication skills, but also how engineering and science can serve the public good.
