Mohamad Forouzanfar, a professor in the Department of Systems Engineering, has been recognized as an Outstanding Associate Editor by the noted IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Society journal.

To earn this title, an individual must have served on the journal’s editorial board for more than a year, in addition to being considered one of the journal’s top 20% of reviewers. This recognition is intended to highlight the exceptional qualities of these reviewers, particularly in terms of the quality of their review, the number of texts reviewed and their ability to meet deadlines. A recognition ceremony for the 25 outstanding reviewers from 2021 will be held at the IEEE I2MTC conference in Ottawa from May 16 to 19, 2022.

“It is people like Mohamad who make it possible for scientific journals to publish credible, science-backed content. Their work is even more important in this post-truth era, as anyone can claim to be an expert,” said Ghyslain Gagnon, Dean of Research at ÉTS.
