Closing of Major fundraising campaign
ÉTS exceeds its objective and raises more than $47 million!Tuesday, October 22, 2019
In 2016, ÉTS launched its third major fundraising campaign and the most ambitious in its history. The goal was to raise $40 million.
Three years later, ÉTS is proud to announce the successful completion of this campaign, which exceeded the $40 million objective by more than 18%, raising a grand total of $47,304,325. It goes without saying that this success is a direct result of the support received from the entire university and business community, who gathered together for the official closing of the campaign in the Hall of Pavilion A on October 17, 2019.
During his speech, ÉTS Director General François Gagnon thanked all of the donors for their invaluable support. The result is the fruit of benefits generated through activities organized by the ÉTS Development Fund, along with generous commitments from donors like Ultra Electronics TCS, Siemens Canada, Hydro-Québec, Pratt & Whitney Canada, National Bank, the Gaspé Beaubien Foundation, Vidéotron and the ÉTS Network (Alumni Association).
In the words of François Gagnon: “Your donations will allow us to offer scholarships, improve the student experience and further develop our research activities. Why do we do all of this? To train our future engineers – the engineers of the 21st century – citizen engineers.”
Through their support for ÉTS, donors are helping to enhance the competitiveness of the engineering industry at the national and international level and upholding the productivity and socioeconomic development of Québec.
ÉTS would like to extend its most sincere thanks to everyone who donated. A plaque commemorating major donors to the campaign was unveiled during the ceremony, and is on display at the entrance to Pavilion A.
