ÉTS Science Poster Competition
2023 edition
Are you an Undergraduate or a Master's student with a passion for science? Whether you’re on your own or partnered with a colleague, share your interests with us!
The 2023 Science Poster Edition is cancelled because the number of participants was too low.
The competition
The goal of the competition is to introduce complex scientific notions in easy-to-understand language. You can choose to present –in lay terms–a topic related to the effects of innovation in engineering or related to your ongoing research project. You must give an individual or group oral presentation with the help of a poster to showcase your work. The presentations will be delivered in French or English and will be assessed by a jury. Please note that your poster's theme must be linked to one of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals defined by the United Nations. It is part of the evaluation criteria.
There are two rounds to the competition:
- The first round takes place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the hall of Pavilion A. The candidates will showcase their posters and answer the judges’ questions;
- The second round will take place once the 6 finalists are known. Their recorded presentations will be assessed by other jury members at a later date.
Prizes to win
The winners will be awarded prizes totalling $2,000, to be presented beginning of March.
Registration
The registration period was January 5-27 (until 4: 00 p.m.). The competition is limited to 18 registered participants.
