ÉTS Science Poster Competition
2022 edition

Are you an Undergraduate or a Master's student with a passion for science? Whether you’re on your own or partnered with a colleague, share your interests with us!

Wednesday, February 16, 2022, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
On campus (in the Library)*

*If allowed by Public Health at the time. If not, the competition will take place online.

The competition

The goal of the competition is to introduce complex scientific notions in easy-to-understand language. You can choose to present –in lay terms–a topic related to the effects of innovation in engineering or related to your ongoing research project. Participants must give an individual or group oral presentation with the help of a poster to showcase their work. The presentations will be delivered in French or English and will be assessed by a jury. Please note that the work must include aspects on sustainable development.

There are two rounds to the competition:

  1. The first round will take place on February 16th, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The candidates will showcase their posters and answer the judges’ questions;
  2. The second round will take place once the 6 finalists are known. Their recorded presentations will be assessed by other jury members at a later date.

Prizes to win

The winners will be awarded prizes totalling $2,000, to be presented beginning of March.

The registration is open from January 4 to January 28, 2022. The competition is limited to 18 registered participants.
