Do you need to reserve a locker or rent a parking space for your car or motorcycle? Do you need to reserve a space for your little one in childcare? Have you lost your student card? Here you will find all the information you need to facilitate your daily life.



Group insurance (health and dental)

Members of the Student Association are covered by a group insurance plan. All members are invoiced and registered for the health and dental care plan administered by the Alliance pour la santé étudiante au Québec (ASÉQ – Alliance for Student Health in Québec)).

International students

International students, including those who are registered for a mobility program (short program, certificate), are automatically invoiced and registered for the ASÉQ coverage, which is optional. Students who determine that this coverage is not required are responsible for opting out of the plan by visiting www.santeetudiante.com.

Students who are registered for an integrated program, for which ÉTS usually assumes the tuition fees, are responsible for paying their own group insurance fees.

Only international students who are registered for ECH1 and ECH2 programs are not invoiced or registered for the group insurance plan.

Accident insurance (group plan)

Full-time or part-time students are protected in the event of an accident on campus and when travelling between ÉTS and home.

What to do in the case of an accident?

Inform the Security Service as quickly as possible. No matter where you are on campus, you can always contact the Prevention and Security Service, which will dispatch the required resources to the appropriate location. You could also call 911, depending on the urgency and severity of the situation.

To contact the Prevention and Security Service:

  • From the ÉTS campus: extension 8900
  • From outside the campus or from the residences: 514-396-8900
  • In case of emergency (from internal phones only): dial 55
  • Go to Pavilion A, located at 1100 rue Notre-Dame Ouest, Room A-0110 (immediately to the left of the main entrance).

Security Officers will intervene and provide the required assistance. They will also fill out an accident report, which will serve as proof for the insurer.

Insurance claims

To file a claim, you must submit the duly completed claim form and the required supporting documents to the insurer within 90 days following the accident.

Student card

ÉTS provides each student with a student card, which is mandatory when taking exams and accessing laboratories and other services (library, Security Service, Sports complex, ÉTS Coop, etc.). It can also be used as a debit card for certain photocopiers.

Where and when to obtain a student card

Go to the Facility Assets Management Service (Room A -1410) with one of the following:

  • Letter confirming your admission
  • Statement-Invoice

AND one of the following documents:

  • Driver’s licence from a Canadian province
  • Health insurance card from a Canadian province
  • Canadian citizenship card
  • Passport
  • Any other official document that includes a photograph and indicates your date of birth (in French or English)

If there are any documents or payments missing from your file, you will not be able to obtain your student card. In the case of modifications to your student file, allow for a delay of 24 to 48 hours following the modifications for the card to be functional.

Business hours

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Wednesday: 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon and 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Renewing your student card

In case of loss, a $15 fee will be charged for the new card. If you have any questions, please contact Lise Desjardins at 514-396-8800, extension 7623.


Lockers, which are available only to undergraduates, are shared between two people. To reserve a locker, you must know the name and permanent code of the person with whom you’d like to share a locker beforehand.

Reservations are made through Mon ÉTS portal beginning on the first day of each session, under the “My File” tab.

Please note that the ÉTS Sports Centre also rents lockers on the third floor of Pavilion B. For more information, visit the reception desk.

If you are experiencing financial difficulties that are hindering your studies, please do not hesitate to ask Student Services for assistance. They will support you in your quest for funding and in establishing your budget. Contact SAÉ to make an appointment (514-396-8942 or by email).



Public transit (OPUS card)

The Société de transport de Montréal (STM) offers a reduced fare for full-time students registered at ÉTS, regardless of their age. You can now apply for or renew your photo OPUS card via Mon ÉTS, under the heading Mes documents. It’s easy, online and quick! For more information concerning the photo OPUS card, please visit the STM website.

ÉTS also offers an optional public transit program for students.

Parking (vehicles and bicycles)

Pavilions A, B and E offer indoor parking. Payment by Interac is preferred, but other methods of payment are also accepted.

* The padlock provided by the Facility Assets Management Service is mandatory (all other padlocks are prohibited). A deposit of $30 is required upon signature of the contract, and will be reimbursed upon return of the key by the established deadline.

To renew your bicycle parking contract, go to the Facility Assets Management Service (A-1410) between 8:30 a.m. and 12:00 noon or 1:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.
