About ÉTS

The ÉTS model

École de technologie supérieure (ÉTS) has been devoted to the technological and economic development of Québec since its founding in 1974.

Co-operative education, applied research, collaboration, innovation, and entrepreneurship are the pillars of the ÉTS mission. Through the unique experiences it offers, the School fosters and promotes Québec know-how both at home and abroad. By tirelessly working for the scientific advancement of society, ÉTS is resolutely engaged in improving the lives of future generations.

Sustainable development

ÉTS, which has been carbon-neutral since 2021, promotes environmentally responsible practices and aims to become an exemplary institution.

For the ÉTS community, sustainable development is more than just a set of principles; it’s a series of concrete actions that make a real difference.

Equity, diversity, and inclusion

Providing equal opportunities for all is a central tenet of the ÉTS identity.

We understand that diversity is an asset that helps new ideas and innovations emerge and flourish. That’s why we’ve taken such a wide range of initiatives in this area.

Bureau du respect de la personne (BRP)

At ÉTS, we consider it our duty to provide an open and respectful environment for students and staff.

In 2018 we established the Bureau du respect de la personne (respectful campus office), whose mission is to prevent harassment and sexual violence and intervene in a caring manner when the situation requires it.

Celebrating success

Every year, we showcase student successes and celebrate those who have made a difference through their achievements and accomplishments.
