Health and Safety at ÉTS

The Occupational Health and Safety Division of the Prevention and Safety Office at ÉTS plays an advisory role in the area of health and safety risk prevention for ÉTS and its entire community. It contributes to the oversight of health and safety management by the various members of the university community.

ÉTS Health and Safety Policy

The commitment made by ÉTS with respect to health and safety is detailed in its Health and Safety Policy (PDF – in French). This Policy is a reflection of the leadership that ÉTS wishes to exercise among engineering schools and faculties.

Laboratory Health and Safety Manual

Protecting the health and safety of persons is a fundamental value at ÉTS, which strives to provide a safe and healthy environment for working, studying and conducting research that respects all applicable laws and regulations related to health and safety.

The activities that are carried out in laboratories may pose health and safety risks for persons. The application of appropriate risk management measures makes it possible to control these risks to the extent that healthy and safe working, studying and research conditions are maintained.

The objective of the ÉTS Laboratory Health and Safety Manual is to provide members of the university community, along with external stakeholders, with generalized information concerning the occupational health and safety provisions that apply in teaching and research laboratories at ÉTS.
