NSERC Experience Awards

These awards are for bachelor’s students who wish to undertake a research internship in the university milieu. These internships are recognized as mandatory internships in the student’s program.

These awards do not apply to STA805 internships.

Amount and duration

 Montant :

  • $4,500 from NSERC plus a minimal contribution ($1,125) from the business (see note below). For the project to be recognized as an co-op internship by ÉTS, the employer must pay a complementary sum of $5,500 (contact the Service de l’enseigement coopératif or SEC).

Duration:

  • 16 consecutive full-time weeks.

Eligibility criteria

  • Be registered in a Bachelor’s program at the time of application;
  • Have a B- average (2.70/4.30);
  • Further eligibility conditions on the NSERC website.

Documents required

Documents to be submitted electronically to NSERC:

  • Form 202 (Parts I and II)

The candidate must fill in Part l of form 202 in the NSERC online system (external site)and attach an official transcript. The host organization’s resource person will fill in Part II of the form. The resource person submits the application to NSERC.
