Siemens Industrial Chair on Industry 4.0 Technology Integration
About the Chair
The mission of the Siemens Research Chair is to integrate Industry 4.0 technologies into the following engineering disciplines : design engineering, manufacturing/maintenance and supply-chain management.
The objective is to maximize the benefits for industry, researchers and students of the three projects that it is heading : Digital Multidisciplinary Analysis and Design Optimization (DMADO), Advanced Manufacturing Automation, Digitization and Optimization (AMADO) and Digital Technology Platform for Supply Chain (DTPSC).
Research
The work of the Chair is driven by the research focus of the three projects, as follows :
- DMADO :
- Digital design platform;
- Multidisciplinary optimization (MDO);
- Parametric analysis methods.
- AMADO :
- Adaptive control and monitoring (ACM) and predictive maintenance;
- Augmented Reality (AR) for the automation of sustainable production systems;
- Simulation and operationalization of operational logistics;
- Analysis and optimization of the digital company.
- DTPSC :
- Scenario planning and forecasting;
- Supplier collaboration platform;
- Transportation logistics management;
- Quality management;
- Geometric exploration and data analysis;
- Development and adaptation of specialized labour.
